Kate Winselt, the Oscar winning English actress, has become enmeshed in a sex scandal involving her new husband, Ned RocknRoll. The nephew of British mogul Richard Branson apparently has a secret sexual cross-dressing fetish that’s landed him in court.
There had to be something cheeky about a man who changes his last name to RocknRoll. But there’s nothing frivolous about his frock fetish.
RocknRoll, 34, has filed a lawsuit with London’s High Court in an effort to ban a tabloid newspaper from publishing photos of Ned in a dress. He dismissed the photos as “silly schoolboy antics,” according to London’s Daily Mail.
London’s Sun, a rival tabloid, obtained the photos, reportedly discovered on a chum James Pope’s Facebook page.
RocknRoll, real name Edward Abel Smith, won a temporary restraining order, after Winslet, 37, was contacted for a comment. The newspaper is contesting.
RocknRoll’s lawyer described the his client as “partly naked” wearing a “fancy dress costume.” The photos were from a private party, he said.
In court pleadings, the Branson scion is hiding behind Winslet’s skirt. He argues that the photos would cause the actress and her children “considerable embarrassment and humiliation.”
Winslet and RocknRoll were married in New York last month. It’s her third marriage. Her previous husbands are film director Jim Threapleton, with whom she has one child and director Sam Mendes. They also had a child together. She split from Mendes in 2910.
