Volatile singer Chris Brown allegedly punched a man during an argument over a parking space in West Hollywood, raising new questions about his ability to control his anger. Could it just as easily have been Rihanna… again?
Police are reportedly investigating the allegations. Brown, 23, is still on probation from his brutal 2009 assault of the Barbadian singer on the eve of the Grammy Awards.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Monday that they are looking into the incident. They were called to the scene Sunday night (Jan. 27). Witnesses said Brown assaulted a man during an altercation. The fight on Santa Monica Blvd., reportedly involved up to six men.
Brown and his entourage fled the scene before police arrived. The alleged victim, identified as singer Frank Ocean, is being considered the victim because he stayed and waited for police. Police are seeking to question Brown, but his reps have told TMZ that Ocean started the fight.
The Grammy award winning singer still has more than a year to go on his five-year probation, which was part of his sentence after assaulting Rihanna.
The two singers reconciled last year and collaborated on remixes of two songs. They also performed a duet, “Nobody’s Business” on Rihanna’s new album Unapologetic.
From there, they’ve rekindled their relationship and have been spotted together at various events. Rihanna and Brown have both posted photos of them together in intimate moments.
Despite claims that he’s matured, Brown has had a string of explosive incidents since his 2009 assault case. Most recently, he engaged in a vulgar Twitter tirade against comedian Jenny Johnson.
He dressed up at Halloween as a Taliban terrorist and failed a court-supervised drug test last September. He was involved in a club fight with rapper Drake last June. Follow TheImproper on Twitter for the latest updates.
