Lil’ Wayne has been released by Cedars-Sinai Hospital after apparently recovering enough from what ever sent him to the intensive care unit for almost a week. He is supposed to complete his recovery at home, but you know how that goes.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj released a video today from her upcoming “High School” music video that showed her goofing around with Wayne. The footage was reportedly shot just before he was hospitalized.

Lil Wayne Seizures Likely Caused by Drug Combo, Alcohol

Wayne, aka Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., was hospitalized last Tuesday and sent home after a day. But he was readmitted Wednesday after an associate found him unconscious.

The next six days reports varied widely on his condition, although it was confirmed that he was admitted to the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai, which suggests his condition was serious. Gossip site TMZ even reported he’d been read his last rites!

But his friends countered that he was neither in a coma, as TMZ also reported, or a life-threatening situation. Rapper pal Birdman even claimed that Wayne’s condition was not drug related. Other reports said he had overdosed on Codeine and likely other drugs.

Lil’ Wayne Prolonged ICU Stay May Indicate Organ Failure

In any event, he was released today and apparently well enough to return home.

In the Nicki video, Wayne looked coherent. His first seizure reportedly occurred after appearing in the video. The video doesn’t really provide any clues as to what triggered the seizure or why he was in ICU for almost a week.
