Lindsay Lohan and her momager Dina Lohan have had a rocky relationship ever since Lindsay made it big in Hollywood. The same factors led to a blowout fight last night (Oct. 10) that prompted an emergency police call to Dina’s house.

The two women have had long-standing issues over co-dependence, drug and alcohol abuse and Dina’s narcissism. She’s never been a mother to Lindsay and has lived vicariously through her daughter’s life.

Dina has never provided Lindsay with the stability she needs to cope with her own issues. Instead, Lindsay has often ended up playing the role of mother because of Dina’s immaturity and acting out. No wonder LiLo has had such trouble getting her own act together.

The latest incident unfolded at the Electric Room, a nightclub inside the Dream Hotel in downtown Manhattan. It’s the same joint where Lindsay was accused of hitting a pedestrian while pulling into a parking garage last month.

Dina, 50, apparently drank heavily at the nightclub and the two began arguing as they left around 4 in the morning, according to gossip site TMZ.

The fight reportedly began because Lindsay wanted her limo to take her back to her hotel room. But Dina insisted on using the car to go to her home on Long Island outside the city. Lindsay ended up riding with her mother to her home, where the shouting escalated.

One of the two called 9-1-1 to report an incident of domestic violence and police responded to the house early this morning. Lindsay reportedly was being held against her will by Dina and the driver, according to one version of events.

Apparently the two struggled at one point. Lindsay reportedly was cut or scratched on her leg and her bracelet was broken in the scuffle, according to TMZ.

Dina’s bizarre behavior was capture during her recent interview on the “Dr. Phil” show. She was disheveled, confused and slurred her words, even though she insisted she wasn’t drinking. (See below)

Lindsay has often said her dysfunctional upbringing is one of the biggest reasons why she has had such trouble in her life. Her love-hate relationship with her mother can’t be helping.
