Obama Unleashes Latest Election Weapon: Hollywood Celebrities 1Actresses Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson and Kerry Washington may be able to do what President Obama failed to do during the first presidential election debate. They’re taking Mitt Romney to task on women’s issues.

The three women slammed the Republican contender over his plans to defund Planned Parenthood, overturn Roe v. Wade and “redefine” rape.

They delivered the message in a 30-second television spot funded by MoveOn.org, a political action group. It’s produced and directed by Hollywood bigwig Rob Reiner and wife Michele Reiner.

The video opens with Johansson, 27, stating bluntly: “I want to talk to you about women.”

The screen cuts to Washington, who adds: “And, Mitt Romney.”

The Longoria starts doing the talking: “Mitt Romney is for ening funding to Planned Parenthood,” she says. “And, cancer screening,” Johansson adds.

“If you think this election won’t affect you, think again,” Johansson says.

The group, which supports progressive political causes, has more than 7 million members, “from carpenters to stay-at-home moms to business leaders.”

“A Romney/Ryan administration would eviscerate women’s rights,” said Reiner in a statement. “We’d be talking about getting rid of abortion, birth control, access to health care screenings. As a husband, son and father, I can’t stand by and let this happen,” he added.

Romney claimed during the presidential debate that he would not push for anti-abortion legislation, but would sign a bill if Congress sent one to his desk.
