Khloe Kardashian's Radical Overhaul to Save Marriage 1Khloe Kardashian refuses to be a prisoner to reality show hell. She’s pulled the plug on “Khloe & Lamar” to help husband Lamar Odom get his game back–and save the marriage.

The harsh glare of her reality show camera lights reportedly have been a big distraction for Lamar and a sore point between them.

Khloe faced a choice; give in to her momager Kris Jenner’s wishes and carry on with the show, or step out of the spotlight to get her marriage back on track. She chose the latter, she says in a new interview.

The couple, however, will continue appearing on the reality clan’s mothership, “Keeping Up with the Kardashains.”

“We just wanted to prioritize a little,” Kardashian, 27, tells People. “We just wanted a little pause. Part of being married is knowing when your husband needs your support.”

Lamar’s basketball career has been in a shambles since he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks from the Los Angeles Lakers this season. His play deteriorated in Dallas and he was sidelined for the rest of the season on the inactive list. That leaves open the door to a possible trade next season.

But at 32, Odom is in the twilight of his career, and whether he can come back is problematic. If he didn’t try, however, he would likely never be happy.

Since moving back to L.A., Lamar has been training for the summer Olympics. “I’m definitely his cheerleader,” Khloe says.

“I’m a modern girl, but you should put your husband first,” she says. “I like to think divorce is not an option.”
