Spider-Man Shows How to Multi-Task in New Extended Trailer 1Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man is remorseful in a new extended feature promoting “The Amazing Spider-Man.” “I’ve made enemies,” he says. “Powerful enemies… Put those I love in danger.”

But it’s all in a day’s work for the superhero.

He shows off just what he can do in the four-minute extended featurette, like save cars thrown from the bridge by The Lizard (Rhys Ifans), aka Dr. Connors.

then, he coaxes a small child from a burning car by letting him wear his mask. He whisks him out, just in time, with one of his spider threads, while stopping the evil Lizard from making a mess of things.

Talk about multi-tasking. “When your past is a mystery,” Spider-man says in a wistful voice-over, “how do you ever stop looking… for the truth?”

If you upset a few people along the way, that’s how it goes.

The clip also includes some familiar footage from previous trailers, like a breathy Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone, uttering “You’re a wanted man Peter Parker.”

Peter has to steer clear of her daddy, Police Captain George Stacy (Dennis Leary), who has more than 500 men out tracking him down.

The film, directed by Marc Webb, will be released at the peak of the summer blockbuster season over the Fourth of July weekend.

It follows Marvel’s other big hit, “The Avengers,” which is likely to take in more than $1 billion at the box office. So Spidey better deliver.

Check out the trailer below. Maybe Spider-Man should apply for a membership in the Justice League:
