Taylor Swift, who’s had a run of bad boyfriend luck over the past few years, is reportedly back in the dating pool again. She was spotted with Mark Foster, a frontman for the band Foster The People. Could love be in the air?
Swift previously dated “Twilight” hottie Taylor Lautner, singer-songwriter John Mayer, Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers Band, and actor Zac Efron.
All of the relationships were brief.
She also had a highly publicized fling with actor Jake Gyllenhaal. They were first spotted together in October 2010 backstage at NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” and the next day at brunch at a Brooklyn restaurant.
But the relationship ended abruptly at the end of the year. Gyllenhaal reportedly pulled the plug. Swift was said to have taken the breakup particularly hard. The 31-year-old actor apparently thought there was too much of an age difference between them. Swift was 21 at the time.
Mark, 28, founded his indie band in Los Angeles in 2009 and earned two Grammy nominations last year. The band’s song “Pumped Up Kicks” became a huge viral success and led to the release of their debut album Torches in May last year.
Taylor looked suitably country chic in a long pink linen top with a lace maxi-skirt with white pants underneath. Foster wore grey T-shirt, black suit jacket and jeans. They arrived and left separately.
There’s been no official word on the nature of their relationship. Foster was also reportedly linked romantically to actress Michelle Trachtenberg
Taylor is working on her fourth studio album, due for release later this year. She has often used her experiences from past relationships as fodder for her songs, which sometimes have been stinging ballads.
On her new album, she’s working with songwriters such as Lori McKenna, Butch Walker and Dan Wilson, and British singer Ed Sheeran.
“Eating cheeseburgers, scribbling on guitars, writing songs with @edsheeran,” she Tweeted earlier this week.
