Charlie Sheen Has Regrets, Ready to Quit Acting After New Show 1Charlie Sheen is getting tired of wearing someone else’s clothes. He says he’ll exit stage left after his latest television show “Anger Management,” and start a new life. Of course, that could take a decade.

Even so, after 30 years as an actor, Sheen says he’s ready to transition to the real world.

“When this ends, I’m done. This is my swan song,” he says of the show.”It’s just going to be about soccer games and amusement parks, he told The New York Times in a new interview.

“I’ve been doing this 30 years. And there’s a lot more out there to do than make-believe, you know?” he explains. “I mean, I’m grateful. I’ve got a dream life as a direct result of television, you know?

“But at some point you just get tired of wearing somebody else’s clothes, saying somebody else’s words and working in somebody else’s space,” he added.

“I’m also aware of the fact that you don’t get these kinds of shots in the same lifetime. You’re only supposed to have one hit show, unless you’re Kelsey Grammer.

Charlie may not be Kelsey, but he could be the next best thing. Despite his wildman blowup over his last show, “Two and a Half Men,” mostly everything Sheen has done has been a success.

Not that he doesn’t have regrets. He’s embarrassed about some of the ridiculous and cruel things he said last year during his meltdown, according to a separate interview in the upcoming issue of Playboy.

“I was in total denial. It wasn’t that bleak in my head. I felt I was winning by finally being able to speak my mind. I felt that was some sort of victory. And then it was fueled by the insane public outpouring of support,” he explained.

“It wasn’t planned, it was just random, The tiger blood? I don’t know. It’s just a very dangerous animal. And there’s a tiger in ‘Apocalypse Now,’ by the way, so maybe there’s a connection there,” he added.

Calling co-star Jon Cryer a “troll” and a “traitor” was also wrong, he said.

“I whaled on him unnecessarily. He was trying to keep the sh*t together, trying to cover my a**, pick up the slack. He just got caught in the crossfire. He’s a beautiful man and a f**king fabulous dude and I miss him,” he said.
