Rush Limbaugh Uncovers Left Wing 'Dark Knight' Conspiracy 1

Could it be? Just keep repeating… Bain, Bane, Romney… Bain, Bane, Romney…

Rush Limbaugh is always on the hunt for left wing conspiracies and he thinks he’s found one in the “Dark Knight Rises.” It’s all an effort, you see, to undermine the candidacy of presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

Hollywood, of course, went through a lefty witch hunt during the 1950s, an odious period when talented artists were “blacklisted” and banned from working for alleged Communist sympathies.

The Hollywood Red Scare, as it came to be known, eventually collapsed of its own fatuous weight, but some conseratives–notably Rush–have never stopped looking for Commies behind the camera.

So what is connection between Romney and “The Dark Knight Rises?” Well, it seems the villain in the Batman movie is named “Bane.” And the private equity firm that is giving Romney such headaches on the campaign trail is called “Bain” Capital. Get it?

TheImproper noted the same coincidence in a story last Saturday (July 14) about Obama’s new campaign ad lambasting, you got it, Bain Capital.

Anyway here’s how Rush sees it.

It seems as though filmmaker Warner Bros., is using “The Dark Knight” to surreptitiously brainwash audiences into thinking that “Bane” is the same as “Bain” and Romney is evil.

“A lot of brain-dead people, entertainment, the pop culture crowd [are] gonna hear Bane in the movie and they’re gonna associate Bain. The thought is that when they start paying attention to the campaign later in the year, and Obama and the Democrats keep talking about Bain, Romney and Bain, that these people will think back to the Batman movie,” he said (remarkably)

“You may think it’s ridiculous, I’m just telling you this is the kind of stuff the Obama team is lining up,” he said. Is Obama really that diabolical?

For the record, Chuck Dixon, who created the character told “the idea that there’s some kind of liberal agenda behind the use of Bane in the new movie is silly.”
