Can Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Make Peace to Promote Breaking Dawn? 1Robert Pattinson’s and Kristen Stewart’s spectacular train wreck won’t derail the promotional campaign leading up to the November debut of “Breaking Dawn, Part 2.” Will Rob and Kristen try to make some kind of peace until then?

Pattinson is scheduled to make his next public appearance Aug. 13 in New York for the premiere of his movie “Cosmopolis.” As TheImproper reported earlier this week, Rob is too professional to back out on his commitments.

Pattinson and Stewart have not been on speaking terms since Stewart’s affair with “Snow White and the Huntsman” Director Rupert Sanders blew up in a tabloid scandal.

But that won’t get them out of contractual obligations to promote the last of the “Twilight” series movies, no matter how awkward it may be for them. Nancy Kirkpatrick who heads marketing for studio Summit Entertainment, says the marketing campaign is moving forward.

“While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November’s opening of The ‘Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” she said in a statement. “We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike.”

Whether the audience can still related to Pattinson and Stewart as eternal lovers Bella Swan and Edward Cullen remains to be seen. A true measure of fan reaction will only show up in the box office.

If past promotion campaigns are any indication, Rob and Kristen will be forced to make joint appearances, attend premieres and sit through interviews. Whether the two get back together is problematic, but will the at least agree to act civilly toward each other?

The worst possible situation would be for Pattinson and Stewart to ignore or scorn each other on the red carpet. How other cast members will react is anyone’s guess.
