Kristen Stewart Cheating Scandal

Kristen Stewart is reportedly furious she’s getting all the blame for her affair with “Snow White and the Huntsman” Director Rupert Sanders. She can’t understand why Sanders isn’t being view as the bad guy. Silly girl. Welcome to Hollywood.

Stewart believes that Sanders, who is 19 years older than her, should have been more responsible and should bear the blame because he was “in a position of power” over her, according to gossip site TMZ.

Kristen also reportedly fears her career may be irreparably damaged, and sees herself as a 22-year-old single woman who made a stupid mistake, according to the site. Except she was in a committed relationship with Robert Pattinson.

Sanders definitely shares the blam. He’s paying for his indiscretion in his personal life. UK model Liberty Ross, his wife and mother of his two children, has thrown him out of the house and is contemplating a divorce.

He reportedly hasn’t been able to see his kids.

Professionally, he’s probably seeing some push-back, as well. But his career is unlikely to suffer much and may even gain. That’s just how the male-dominated system works in Hollywood. It’s the last bastion of male chauvinism.

But here’s why she’s suffering more and deservedly so.

Sanders is basically a nobody. He filmed television commercials before the “Snow White” gig, and will likely go back to filming commercials. Stewart is internationally known with a huge fan base.

She was dating one of the hunkiest young actors in Hollywood, who couldn’t be a nicer guy. Millions of people have genuine affection for him. Nobody knows Liberty Ross, not that she’s any less a victim.

Stewart allowed the tabloid press, and by extension the public, to put her relationship on a pedestal. If she really didn’t feel that strongly about Rob–and she obviously didn’t or she wouldn’t have cheated–she should have done something to quell the speculation. She didn’t.

She wore her integrity on her sleeve. All she talked about in interviews was her desire for honesty in her work and life. Yet she was sneaky, and therefore, a hypocrite. She also blind-sided Rob and was outed by a tabloid. That also made her a liar.

In the end that’s what it’s all about: Honesty, integrity, loyalty. She dropped the ball on all three. It’s a wonder anyone still supports her. But they do now, and will continue to do so in the future.

Even if she never plays another fairy tale character, at least her relationships won’t be portrayed as fairy tale romances, either. That’s got to be a monkey off her back.

In fact, it may help her career in the long run, because in Hollywood, everyone loves a second act.

After all, this scene has been played before by lots of actors: Elizabeth Taylor, Debbie Reynolds, Richard Burton, Eddie Fisher, LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian, Johnny Depp, Amber Heard… the list goes on.

The best thing she can do is get over it and get back out in public, like Rob. It seems to have done a world of good for him.
