Robert Pattinson doesn’t seem any closer to a reconciling with Kristen Stewart following her cheating affair and may end up promoting “Breaking Dawn, Part 2,” without her at his side. Rob wants to move on, according to sources.

Stewart publicly apologized to her boyfriend of four years after he was blindsided by tabloid reports that Stewart was having an affair with “Snow White and the Huntsman” Director Rupert Sanders.

Stewart, according to most reports, wants desperately to patch things up, but nobody really knows where the relationship stands for sure, because neither Stewart nor Pattinson are talking. Most tabloid reports are based largely on speculation, if not made up outright.

But apparently Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the “Twilight” franchise, is making plans to send out Rob and Kristen solo unless the situation changes. The movie debuts in November, and promotion efforts will go into full swing in the next 30 days or so.

Rob is just wrapping up promotion on “Cosmopolis,” and Kristen is scheduled to appear at the Toronto Film Festival to promote her new movie, “On the Road” before the final “Twilight” movie comes out.

A source close to Summit said today the chances are remote that Rob and Kristen will end up in the same room to promote “Breaking Dawn, Part 2” the way things now stand.

“Kristen is definitely still in love with Rob and is going through the motions of a breakup. She really wants him back but Rob is not interested in talking to her right now and that is certainly making things difficult for the plans on doing any press together for when [Breaking Dawn: Part 2] comes out.

“Chances of them being in the same room is highly unlikely. They are going to have the timing of interviews timed out to prevent awkward encounters,” the source said.

But the situation is fluid and could change, if Rob and Kristen come to terms with each other. There was a separate report in UsWeekly that Rob has put the $6.8 million mansion he shared with Kristen on the market, but the sale could not be confirmed.
