Wood, who has since retracted the tweet, was bombarded with complaints on the social networking site after she wrote: “I called it! Miley cyrus is leaning toward gay.”
Wood was reacting to Miley’s radical new hairdo, a punk-rocker pixie cut that gives her a young tough girl image. She’s also amped up her use of piercing jewelry and is wearing more daring rocker-chic style clothes.

The heat was enough to force Wood to explain her comment and insist she was only joking. “I myself am bisexual and have always ‘joked’ about miley giving me gay vibes. Not a bad thing! Just an observation,” she tweeted.
“So i ‘joked’ when she cut her hair that it supported my case. But, i am not so close minded or into stereotypes or labeling. It was a joke,” she said.
“Its all fine by me,” Woods added. She said she is supportive of Miley what ever she decides to do.
Miley responded with a “well said!” and a “Let’s be friends” tweet. But Wood’s gadar may not be too far off the mark.
In January a year ago, Cyrus and “Hannah Montana” co-star Emily Osment engaged in racy girl-on-girl antics in a series of photos that went viral on Internet.
Miley and Emily are sharing tongues and giggles in one photo and Miley is attempting to plant a big kiss on Emily in the other.
A month before that, Miley was pictured with her assistant who is tugging on her skimpy black top trying to put a lip-lock on her right breast. Miley has a look of mock shock on her face as she reclines on a couch. Her barely there skirt is hiked up to the top of her thighs.
Even so, Miley went out of her way to distance herself from lesbianism, after she appeared to kiss one of her female dancers during a performance on the UK’s “Britain’s Got Talent” television show in June.
“During my performance I supposedly “KISSED A GIRL” and this is the newest thing to cause controversy,” she wrote on her blog.
“I promise you I did not kiss her, and it is ridiculous that two entertainers can’t even rock out with each other without the media making it some type of story,” she added.
