Kristen Stewart looks ravishing as a hot beatnik chick in new photos from her upcoming film “On the Road,” about ’50s Beat Generation writer Jack Kerouac’s cross-country trip to discover America.
Kerouac chronicled his adventure in a book by the same name on which the movie is base. He became one of the guiding lights of the Beat Generation, which later spawned the counter-culture 1960s.
The movie also stars Viggo Mortensen, Tom Sturridge, Amy Adams, Alice Braga, Elisabeth Moss and Kirsten Dunst.
Dunst, who plays Camille, a pseudonym for Carolyn Cassady, the wife of Kerouac sidekick Neal Cassady, is featured in one of the photos, along with Stewart, Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley. They play Marylou, Dean Moriarty and Sal Paradise, respectively.

In one of the photos Stewart is reading “Swann’s Way,” one of seven volumes that comprise Marcel Proust’s novel “In Search of Lost Time” or “Remembrance of Things Past.” The novel is a long philosophical narration about the author’s life.
In another she’s the picture of ’50s sweetness and innocence. That’s probably before she goes on the road.
Stewart got some screen time in the first trailer for her movie, released last month, which fueled rumors she will appear topless in the film.
The Twilight actress is definitely topless in one scene in the trailer. She’s sandwiched between hunky, also shirtless Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley. The camera angle, however, is from the back and her private parts are covered.
Directed by Walter Salles and adapted by José Rivera, the film is likely to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. So far it hasn’t nailed down a U.S. release date, although it will be released in the UK.
