Nicki Minaj keeps the visuals simple in her new video for “Beez in the Trap,” while her hot gyrating in barely there clothes is as addictive as crack.
She performs with 2 Chainz in a minimalist shoot with a number of cameo from the Cash Money crowd.
Nicki seems to want to show that she’s go the stuff and you can play… if you can play. “It’s real sexy,” she told MTV. “There’s a clean version and an explicit version, and it’s goin’ to be poppin’.”
The song premiered on DJ Flex’s radio show at Hot 97 on March 20. It’s off her new album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which just hit stores.

Minaj has been drifting into more of a pop-oriented sound, which is evident on the album. Beez, on the other hand, has been described as a present to fans who want more hard core rap.
Nicki shows off her hot fireplug body kneeling on top of a platform in a pink leotard, wearing a blonde wig. She also raunches it up in a fluorescent-colored bikini and tight leopard-print body suit.
She crouches seductively as the video opens behind barbed-wire, a metaphor for the trap, which is slang for a crack den. According to one interpretation, she’s suggesting she and her music are addictive like crack.
The Benny Boom-directed video is also includes a collage of club scenes with Niki and her scantily clad girls and lots of cash flashing.
Cash Money co-founder Birdman makes a brief cameo in the video. Slim Thug and Safaree Samuels also pop into the video.
The rapper filmed the video on last month in Miami.
Minaj made a surprise appearance in New York’s Time Square Friday (Apr. 6), as part of Nokia’s promotion of its Lumia 900 smartphone. Today (Apr. 7) she jetted to Los Angeles for a signing.
