Rihanna’s brother Rorrey Fenty provides the first real insight into the pop singer’s relationship issues with Chris Brown, and refutes several HollywoodLife reports that she is pining for the rap star.

Rihanna and Brown were “like soul-mates” when they were dating. But all that came to an end on the eve of the Grammy’s in 2009 when Brown beat her viciously and fled the scene of the attack, leaving her unconscious and bleeding.

Three years later, they are communicating, had several meet ups and collaborated on their respective songs, touching off rumors that they may be getting back together. While Rihanna said she misses having a boyfriend, she’s not trying to get back with Chris, according to Fenty.

Some web sites particularly HollywoodLife have been running stories that the Barbadian singer is trying over Twitter to woo the rapper away from his Vietnamese model girlfriend Karrueche Tran. But the stories are only based on supposition.

Fenty offers a different explanation. “When she looks unhappy, it’s not because of her missing Chris, it’s because of how hectic her lifestyle is; she sometimes does 13-hour days,” he told Heat magazine in a new interview.

“She has talked to me about getting married and having children. She plans on settling down, but she wants to focus on her career,” he said.

‘Rihanna doesn’t have a boyfriend right now. Drake and Rihanna used to be together – and he’s a pretty cool dude,” her brother said.

“She needs a man who likes to do the stuff she likes doing, someone laidback and fun-loving,” he added. That doesn’t sound like Brown who still has an explosive personality and anger management issues.

“There are a million guys across the world waiting to take her out, but she says they are more intimidated by her than anything else,” he adds.

Rihanna said her decision to reunite with Brown was professional. “I reached out to him about doing ‘Birthday Cake’ because that’s the only person that really… it made sense to do the record. Just as a musician – despite everything else – that was going to be the person.”

Fake celebrity stories have become a staple on the Internet at less scrupulous gossip outlets. Several new sites, like GossipCop, have arisen just to point out baseless reporting.
