Pippa Middleton Snared in Paris Gun Scandal 1Pippa Middleton, sister of the future queen of England, could be facing legal questions in Paris, after one of her companions in a car in which she was a passenger allegedly pointed a semi-automatic pistol at a photographer.

Pippa, 27, the sister of Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was riding in the Audi convertible in the middle of downtown Paris when the driver pulled out the gun.

Pippa had a attended the 29th birthday of Paris fashion entrepreneur Arthur de Soultrait, who also was in the car, according to press reports. France has strict gun laws.

All of those involved in the incident could face up to seven years in jail, and up to two years in jail, if the gun turns out to be fake, according to London’s Daily Mail.

Middleton was reportedly being driven to the Gare du Nord station to board a Eurostar high speed train to London on Saturday (Apr.14).

At least one person who witnessed the incident has complained to Paris police and provided photographic evidence. “If the evidence points to (Pippa Middleton’s) involvement, she will be prosecuted. Anybody involved in the illegal use of a handgun in public is liable to arrest and interrogation,” a source told The Mail.

In France, it is illegal to brandish a handgun in public to “warn people off.” Even if someone is licensed to carry a weapon, it must be kept covered at all times.

de Soultrait is a French aristocrat whose fashion brand, Vicomte A, sells preppy style clothing and sportswear all around the world.
