Cameron Diaz, Elle UKCameron Diaz has gone Madonna. She reveals she’s an Anglophile and loves English men. Diaz, who famously dated Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez, says they lacked British charm.

“I love (British men’s) sense of humor and the sense of chivalry and charm. It’s something that is innately a part of the culture – it’s not the same in America,” she said in the new issue of Elle magazine’s UK edition.

Diaz, 39, is on the road promoting her new movie, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” The rom-com has an all-star ensemble cast that includes Jennifer Lopez, Matthew Morrison, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick, Brooklyn Decker, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Rodrigo Santoro, Rob Huebel, and Chace Crawford. Also making appearances are Dennis Quaid and Chris Rock.

Diaz said she was head over heels for Colin Firth, her co-star in the new comedy thriller “Gambit.”

“He’s the perfect Englishman. Just enough of the self-effacing to a point that it’s comfortable for other people, but also totally charming and engaging to where he makes you feel special. He’s got that British honesty,” she says.

Diaz says there’s not much she doesn’t like about the island nation. “‘I love London. I love the Brits, I always have. I have a weak spot for them. I grew up on Monty Python. I love Little Britain. My grandfather used to watch Benny Hill all the time.”

She’s also enamored with London. “You know how every little neighborhood will have a little park or a square,” she says.
