Paris Jackson was rushed to the hospital early this morning after an apparent suicide attempt.

Paris Jackson, the daughter of late pop singer Michael Jackson, is in a Los Angeles hospital today, after she attempted suicide early this morning (June 5), according to her birth mother Debbie Rowe.

Paris, 15, was seen being carried from her home on a stretcher at around 2am, according to gossip site TMZ. Reports to 911 varied between a possible overdose of drugs and cuts on her wrists.

She has been caught in a emotionally wrenching battle with her grandmother Katherine Jackson and other family members over Michael Jackson’s estate.

The Jackson family is also involved in a bitter lawsuit against AEG, the promoter of Michael Jackson last concert series, which led to his death at 50 in June 2009 from an overdose of propofol and benzodiazepine, powerful sedatives.

The trial began in April is underway. Both Paris and brother Prince are on the witness list and could be called to testify.

Paris has also been adrift about what to do with her life and yearning to grow up like other kids.

Lately, Paris has sought solace by re-establishing ties with her birth mother, who confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that Paris was in the hospital.

A lawyer representing Katherine Jackson told the New York Daily News that Paris was suffering from “the loss of her father, but had no information on what may have triggered a suicide attempt. ‘

There were clues, however, to her mental state that she posted on Twitter. The first around midnight said: “Yesterday, all my troubles seem so far away, now it looks as though they’re here to stay.”

Before that she posted: “I wonder why tears are salty,” suggesting she’d been crying.

According to the latest reports, she is out of danger, but still in the hospital. “She’s going to be OK,” one source at the hospital said.
