Selena Gomez in Spring Breakers; about as sexy as it gets.

Selena Gomez in Spring Breakers; about as sexy as it gets.

Selena Gomez has no plans to do a nude movie scene now, in the near future, or maybe even ever, despite a raft of reports to the contrary, sparked by a tabloid website branded as one of the worst on the web for credibility.

The report, as always, had a patina of truth because Gomez has said she wants to do more mature roles. She has also just come off her raciest role yet in “Spring Breakers.”

If she were interested in doing a nude scene, she had every opportunity to do so in the sexy coming-of-age movie. It’s about four college girls who go wild on a trip to Florida for Spring Break.

Rumors were rife before the movie’s release that Gomez would appear topless, but none of the principal stars doffed their tops, much less appeared nude. Only Rachel Korine, 24, briefly appeared topless (did you see it?). She’s married to Harmony Korine, 40, who wrote and directed the picture.

In fact, Selena plays the moral conscience of the group, constantly questioning the girls’ extreme behavior.

A source with connections to LH7 Management, a company run by Gomez’s mother, Mandy Teefey, said the young starlet has made no comments about appearing nude on-screen. Teefey, who recently gave birth, was unavailable for comment.

“This story is completely made up,” added her spokesman in an email to TheImproper.

Gossip site Hollywoodlife, citing its own unnamed “source,” reported June 12 that Gomez “isn’t afraid of going nude for a more serious role.”

“Now that Selena is growing up to be a more serious actress and separating herself from her Disney past, she has no problem going topless if the role calls for it,” the site claimed the “source,” said, without any further identification.

“Without a doubt, Selena would go topless in a film if the role was right,” the source said.

PerezHilton, another sketchy rumormonger, repeated the story two days later (June 14), using the same quote as the HollywoodLife story, but claiming the source as his own. He at least ran a question mark in the head.

That opened the door for more legitimate sites like Cosmopolitan magazine to go with a story that our source flatly said was “made-up.”

None of her next three films, stretching into next year, call for nude or topless scenes.

Of course, you can never say never. She may one day consent to a nude scene. But at the moment any speculation about it, is just that. Remember to follow TheImproper on Twitter for Selena Gomez news you can trust.
