The rumor, which hit the tabs earlier this month was based on a paparazzi photograph of Pattinson driving in his now familiar red pickup truck with a young red-headed woman in the passenger seat. While Pattinson was definitely behind the wheel, the woman was not identified by the photographer.

But the resemblance was enough to link Pattinson with Keough. She’s been friends with Rob’s ex, Kristen Stewart, since they film “The Runaways” together in 2010.

TheImproper shot down the rumor almost immediately based on a source who has been reliable in the past. At least one other Web site, GossipCop, confirmed the story. Other sites have since followed suit.
But HollywoodLife and OK magazine had new reports today that still claim Keough and Pattinson are dating. OK reported that Stewart had confronted Keough over her so-called romance.

“[Kristen] called Riley. She likes and respect her, but she just doesn’t feel like it is ever right to go after a good friend’s ex who is suddenly on the market,” a so-called source told OK mag.
“No wonder Rob appeared happy to escape the drama as he arrived in Toronto, Canada on July 17. An ex fighting with your current flame? Nothing could be worse,” HollywoodLife reported, before proclaiming once again that Rob and Riley “have been dating since June.”
Of course, there is no evidence that such a “confrontation” took place. To the contrary, a photo was posted on Instagram, showing Riley out to dinner with a friend of Kristen’s the night before Rob left for Vancouver to film his latest movie “Maps to the Stars.”

Some fans believe Kristen was at the dinner, too, just not in the photos.
Meanwhile fans have expressed outrage over the reports. “Oh dear God. Hollywoodlife and OK Mag are lying. I’m going to pray for both of you that you grab a clue,” commented one fan on the HL site.
“Your site has officially jumped the shark,” wrote another.
