This time, Cooper plays fast-talking FBI agent Richie DiMaso, who recruits a conman, Irving Rosenfeld, played by Christian Bale, to crack a Camden, New Jersey fraud ring that goes all the way up to the city’s mayor.
Lawrence plays Irving’s wife, Rosalyn Rosenfeld, but she has some competition in the eye-candy department from Amy Adams, who plays Sydney Prosser, Irving’s partner in crime and mistress. Jeremy Renner and Robert Di Niro round out the cast.
The screenplay, written by Eric Warren Singer and Russell, is based on Abscam, a 1978 FBI sting operation that led to the convictions of a United States Senator, six Congressmen, a New Jersey State Senator and several Philadelphia City Council members.
The trailer is mostly look and listen to Led Zeppelin’s classic “Good Times, Bad Times.” Adams flashes her hot body in one scene and Lawrence nails her look as a Jersey housewife.
The movie hits theaters on December 25. Check out the trailer below and follow TheImproper on Twitter for the latest movie news.
