She later posed for Playboy under a different name and was named a “Pet of the Month.”
Evans, 24, who describes herself as “rebellious,” was the reigning Miss Teen Louisiana when she and three friends walked out on a $46 restaurant tab in Bossier City, Louisiana. She was 18 at the time.
Police, who where called by the restaurant manager, had an easy enough time tracking down her and her three friends. Evans had left her purse in the restaurant, according to news accounts at the time. Duh….
When she returned later to retrieve it, police were waiting for her. They also found about two grams of marijuana in her purse. She was charged with theft and drug and paraphernalia possession. The story made international headlines, from People to London’s Daily Mail.
She was forced to give up her title in Oct. 2008, 11 days before the end of her reign. But she did not have to forfeit any of her prizes or cash from winning the title. She was the third runner up in Miss Teen USA 2008 pageant, held in August that year.
The arrest effectively ended her beauty pageant career. So she turned instead to Playboy. She did a full-frontal nude spread under the name Lindsey Gale Evans.
She was selected as the Playboy Playmate of the Month in the Oct. 2009 issue.
When she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a modeling career, she changed her name. She looks like she also had a nose job and is model thin now compared to the luscious curves she sported in her Playboy photos.
Evans was born in Paris, Texas, but raised in Blanchard, Lousiana. She graduated high school and attended Northwestern State University, majoring in Broadcast Journalism.
