Nichole Kidman plays Hollywood film icon Grace Kelly in a new picture, Grace of Monaco.

Nicole Kidman is featured in a new teaser trailer as Hollywood film icon Grace Kelly, during her years as Princess Grace of Monaco. While she’s well suited for the role, can you believe Tim Roth as Prince Rainier III?

The French-American production is set in the early 1960s during a constitutional crisis in the tiny principality of Monaco.

The glamorous Prince Rainier is at odds with French president Charles dE Gaulle, who for a time contemplates invading the jet-setting city snuggled on the French Mediterranean coast.

At the same time, Grace questions her marriage to the prince after six years and two children. Behind the fairytale facade she is reportedly miserable and desperate to escape her marriage, according to Father Francis Tucker, who was priest and adviser to her husband.

Tucker, who is played by Frank Langella, reportedly advises Kelly that she would be scorned by the royal Monaco family, and likely never see her children again. She must chose between a lucrative offer to star in a new Alfred Hitchcock movie or stay in Moncaco.

She chose to stay and even bore Prince Rainier another child, daughter Stephanie. Kelly’s three children, Prince Albert, Caroline and Stephanie have all denounced the movie script. Grace Kelly died in a car accident in 1982. She was 52.

“Grace of Monaco,” also stars Milo Ventimiglia and indie film queen Parker Posey. It hit theaters in limited release on Nov. 27.
