Kanye West waxes philosophical in a new BBC interview.

Ever wonder what’s inside Kanye West’s head? The rapper spilled his brains on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show and the results were not too surprising. Think scrambled.

West has always been a media butterfly, and since he started dating Kim Kardashian, he’s become even more self-absorbed.

No surprise there. His basic credo goes: “If I see an opportunity, I’m going to go for it,” he says.

“We’re all going to die one day. So live like you could die tomorrow. You know, go for it,” he says.

For even more insight in to Kayne’s head just give Yeezus a listen. He said the album is clear reflection of what’s on his mind.

Interestingly, he throws some shade on radio and how it’s become so controlled, keeping artists who are actually creating music off the air, and essentially out of sight.

“We need to find something new,” he says, “because it’s being controlled in a way and manufactured in a way that really awesome artists can make amazing music and not break as far a path as something that’s formulaic.”

Kanye also sees himself as a rebel with a cause. “I’m here to crack pavement and make new ground… sonically and in society.”

“As Kanye West, I gotta f*ck sh*t up.”
