Taylor Swift looked like a bejeweled princess in a dazzling ruby red ball gown at the 47th annual CMA Awards in Nashville Wednesday (Nov. 6). She flashed just enough sensuality without going over the top in the skin department.

Swift’s Old Hollywood glamour was dramatic, thanks to her Elie Saab dress. It included intricate embroidery to give her a regal Grace Kelly look.

The 23-year-old singer was definitely dressed for the occasion. She entered the country music history books by becoming the second artist to ever receive the CMA’s Pinnacle Award. Garth Brooks is the only other artist to win the award in 2005.

And, guess what? There was no Kanye West to snatch it out of her hand.

The award recognizes global achievement in music and also celebrates her singular. Ironcially, Swift has pretty much crossed-over into Pop music, although she hasn’t entirely left her country roots behind.

Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, George Strait, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisle and Keith Urban all bowed to salute country’s new queen.

Signaling her broad appeal, she also received accolades from Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, Justin Timberlake, Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts and other celebrities.

“You’re not only rewarding my hard work and exhaustion, you’re rewarding the hard work and exhaustion of my family, the label, and anyone that works for me, and most of all, the fans that fill stadiums,” she said in a well-crafted acceptance speech.
