The governor’s remarks in a radio address on Friday (Jan. 24) sparked a rabid reaction on right-leaning Fox News.
Amid the posturing, Hanity vowed to move out of the state as soon as he could. “Why should I move forward when my governor says there’s no place for me in New York?” he blustered.
To which, Stewart replied. “I’ll carry you.”
Cuomo, who is running for re-election this year angered local Republicans as well.
“I think the governor is a bully… an arrogant, elitist bully,” said Steven F. McLaughlin, a Republican who represents Albany in the state legislature. He echoed charges levied against New Jersey’s Republican Gov. Chris Christie in recent days.
Of courses, Christie’s administration blocked traffic for four days on the George Washington Bridge, causing a massive traffic jam, as political payback for Ft. Lee, NJ’s Democratic Mayor. But no matter.
