Mike Myers Strikes Back at North Korea as Dr. Evil on SNL (watch!)

Mike Myers returned to “Saturday Night Live” as Dr. Evil from his Austin Powers movies to chastise North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Sony Pictures for, well, giving evil a bad name. Myers, that is, Dr. Evil commandeered the cold open. The show opened with a skit called “A Very Somber Christmas With Sam Smith.” Actually, was parodying the English singer when Dr. Evil crashed the set. Sitting in his familiar lair, Dr. Evil laid into North Korea for its puny “act of war.”...

FBI Fingers North Korea in Sony Hacking: Read Full Statement Here

North Korea had a direct hand in the hacking attack that flooded the internet with thousands of Sony Pictures documents and led to terrorist threats against movie theaters scheduled to show the Kim Jong-Un comedy “The Interview,” according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI released a statement this morning (Dec. 19) that said “North Korea’s actions were intended to inflict significant harm on a U.S. business and suppress the right of American citizens to express themselves.” It continued:”Such acts of intimidation fall outside the bounds of acceptable state behavior.”...

Chris Hemsworth Takes on Hackers in ‘Blackhat’ Trailer; Hello? Sony? (see!)

Chris Hemsworth plays a prison inmate with certain “skills” who is called upon to track down a terrorist hacker in a new trailer for the movie “Blackhat.” The movie, however, has been eclipsed somewhat by Sony’s server breach. In a somewhat prophetic statement, his character, Nicholas says “this is all just a game, a virtual world.” Viola Davis, William Mapother and Wei Tang co-star in the film, which is due for release Jan. 16....

Seth Rogen Errantly Praises Sony Exec Who Tried to Ditch His Film

Seth Rogen praised Sony Pictures Co-Chairman Amy Pascal for making his movie, “Interview,” last night at the film’s hush-hush premiere, without acknowledging that she frantically tried to disassociate Sony from the picture in every way possible. Rogen, who is known for being outspoken, had to know Pascal was behind efforts to orphan the film, which is comedy about assassinating North Korean leader Kim Jung Un. The details of Sony’s efforts to erase its name from the project are contained in the latest batch of emails that have been leaked by a shadowy group that calls itself “Guardians of Justice.”...

President Obama Butt of Racist Jibes in Leaked Pascal-Rudin Sony Emails

President Obama now has something in common with Angelina Jolie. He’s the latest public figure to get kicked around in leaked emails between Sony Pictures Co-Chairman Amy Pascal and blustery producer Scott Rudin. The two Hollywood moguls wrote back and forth about the president in clearly racial terms, discussing what movies he might like to watch. All of the films involved African-American actors or subjects dealing with black America, according to the documents....

Angelina Jolie Trashed as Hollywood Egos Clash in Leaked Sony Emails

Angelina Jolie is both a power and a scourge in Hollywood. In revealing leaked emails from Sony Pictures, producer Scott Rudin slams her as a “minimally talented spoiled brat,” an image that’s as far from her public persona as you can get. The email exchange occurred between Rudin and Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal, in what appears to be a monumental clash of egos over upcoming films. Sony’s computers were hacked and scores of documents and content were leaked onto the Internet, including at least five yet-to-be-released feature films, including “Still Alice,” an Oscar contender starring Julianne Moore and Kristen Stewart....
