Oscars: Awful Moments, Cheesy Jokes, Preening Celebs… And Lady Gaga

The Oscars pretty much had everything you could want from a cheesy, social media and celeb-obsessed awards show. Racism, racist jokes, Lady Gaga, lots of awkward moments, a three foot tall Kevin Hart, global warming expert Leo DiCaprio and some serious right-wing bashing! Lastly, kudos to Leo for finally taking one home! Whether or not you thought his performance in “The Revenant” was Oscar worthy, you have to admit, there’s few actors around today with DiCaprio’s body of work who don’t possess a golden statue....

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Taking Care of Business… Solo

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may be back together as a couple, but when it comes to business, they apparently have agreed to go it alone. Both actors have been spotted out at official events solo, but there may be a simple explanation. Kristen hung with Hollywood heavyweights like Amy Adams, Helen Hunt, Will Smith, Tom Hanks, Virgina Madsen, George Lucas and Quentin Tarantino, so the networking opportunities were ample. Rob, meanwhile, was spotted at a luncheon at Osteria Mozza celebrating Richard Gere’s new movie, “Arbitrage.”...

Brad Pitt First Look; Zombies Attack in World War Zzzzzzz (watch!)

Brad Pitt talked exactly a year ago about his desire to write, produce and bring ideas to film that might not make it in Hollywood. So what’s his latest project? A zombie film. The first teaser trailer, out today (Nov. 6) is uninspiring and clichéd. Pitt, 47, plays a U.N. official who is racing around the world trying to stop the outbreak of a deadly pandemic that turns people into, you guessed it, zombies. And they’re garden variety, too. The film is based on the 2006 post-apocalyptic horror novel by Max Brooks. It follows his 2003 book, “The Zombie Survival Guide.” Both books were hugely popular. But as zombie flicks go, not much to distinguish it, except maybe the special effects....
