O’Day was discovered in 2004 on the MTV reality show ‘Making the Band 3,’ founded by Combs, and emerged as the show’s breakout star, according to her bio. Danity Kane’s first album debuted in August 2006 at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The group was the opening act for Christina Aguilera on the U.S. leg of her “Back to Basics Tour.”
