Pixie Geldof, the middle daughter of UK rocker and activist Bob Geldof and late television personality Paula Yates, is carving a name in fashion with stunning pictorials like the one that recently graced the UK edition of Vogue magazine.

Like her better known sister, Peaches Geldof, the 22-year-old model might more aptly be described as “socialite.”

But she’s the far more serious of the two. She’s been working in fashion since 2008 when she debuted at 17 in Tatler magazine. Her mother had posed for the magazine 26 years earlier.

The magazine dubbed her “the coolest girl in town.”

Since then, she’s come to epitomize rocker chic in the UK, although she’s not quite as well known in the United States.

She’s repped for a growing list of well-known brands like Levi’s, Diesel, Henry Holland, Agent Provocateur, Loewe and Pringle of Scotland. She’s also modeled for Vivienne Westwood, PPQ, Luella and Jeremy Scott, so her career, so far, has been the real deal.

In her Vogue shoot, she posed for photographer Alasdair McLellan on the beach in Miami, featuring a retro ’90s look in denim. She wears clothes by Proenza Schouler, Balmain, J Brand and Calvin Klein, Stella McCartney and Chanel among other brands.

Francesca Burns styled the shoot with hair by Anthony Turner and make-up by Lucia Pica.

Pixie is also following in her father’s footsteps; she’s lead singer for the band Violet, which released its first single in May 2012.

Her mother died in 2000 from an accidental heroin overdose, three years after the death of her partner, INXS singer Michael Hutchence.

Pixie will be returning to Vogue UK in September. Until then, check out her photos and follow TheImproper on Twitter to keep up with all the latest fashion trends.
