Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is stepping out for Roberto Cavalli’s Fall 2010 campaign featuring a layered look of lush animal prints, fur and decorative patterns. The world’s richest model turned 30 on July 20 and only eight months ago gave birth to a baby boy.
The Brazilian model’s shoot also marks the 40th anniversary for the Robert Cavalli brand.
The set for the Mert & Marcus shoot is set against a stormy post-apocalyptic desert background.
Gisele stands next to a burning bush, which also giving the scene Biblical overtones and suggests the three primal forces of nature — earth, wind and fire.
She poses defiantly, hands on her hips, her face serious and determined, as if to suggest she is in control.
The shoot features her in a red coat and leopard print leggings with Roberto Cavalli animal print bag.
Bundchen has had a whirlwind year.
Besides being hailed by Forbes magazine as the highest-paid model in the world and also the sixteenth richest woman in the entertainment, with an estimated $150 million fortune, she married New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in April 2009.
She gave birth to their son, Benjamin Rein Brady, last December. And is hitting full stride again in her modeling career.
