Ginta Lapina, the exotic Latvian-born model, keeps turning up in Elle magazine’s European editions. First it was Elle UK in June and now Elle Belgium in July. She shows how she stays cool in “old school vest tops, rave-ready trainers and rainbow bright swimwear,” according to the mag.

Lapina, 27, was discovered in 2005 in her hometown of Riga, Latvia. At 5-feet, 10-inches tall, she stood out in a crowd.

She moved to New York City and debuted in 2008 on the runway at New York Fashion Week. She walked for Benjamin Cho.

Gina rose steadily in her career and appeared in fashion shows for a slew of top names, from Shiatzy Chen, Anna Sui, Nina Ricci to Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada Versace, Valentino and Louis Vuitton.

She’s been a darling of Elle, covering three different European editions. She’s also been photographed for Vogue, Marie Claire, Numéro, Harper’s Bazaar and W magazines., and on the covers of Velvet and Elle France, among others.[citation needed]

For her latest editorial feature, she posed for photographer Gilles Bensimon. Anne-Marie Curtis handled styling.
