Kate Bosworth has an eye for fashion, and wants to throw some shade on them with high-end sunglasses. She and husband Michael Polish are teaming with eyewear brand Jacques Marie Mage, on limited edition eyewear line.
Although Bosworth is lending her name to the line, Polish is behind the designs.
“There is a romance behind the design process of these glasses,” said the 34-year-old actress.
And the company has picked up that thought as a marketing theme. The line is “linked by the couple’s shared sense of love and creativity,” it said in a statement.
Kate and Michael’s line includes feminine white and gold marble oversized glasses, as well as a darker colored version and aviator specs
Bosworth, 34, also worked on a clothing line with UK high street brand Topshop in 2013, as well as a shoe range with Matisse a year later.
She also collaborated earlier this year with Tory Burch on a handbag line, titled “Kate Bosworth X Gemini Bag.” She calls it a “classic” accessory.
“I love the aesthetic. It has a cool ’70s California vibe that I love so much, but is also a classic. But perhaps what I love most is what the Gemini Link bag represents, which is the multiple roles we take on as powerful women.
“I am an actress, a producer, a stepmother, a friend, a wife … We are all many things and I adore that this bag embodies this sentiment,” she said.
Bosworth made her big-screen debut in the 1998 film “The Horse Whisperer and followed up with “Remember the Titans” in 2000.
She was lead actress in the 2002 film “Blue Crush,” about teenage surfers determined to conquer Hawaii’s North Shore.
She’s currently filming “Finding Steve McQueen.”
