Kim Kardashian’s teen step-sister Kendal Jenner has cause an uproar after being tarted up at the tender age of 15 for a series of tee-shirt ads, that once again raise the question whether teens are being over sexualized in the name of commercialism.

Marc Clark, an up and coming fashion designer, commissioned the campaign as part of his Marcc line. He claims his fashions are worn by such pop culture luminaries as Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, Kurt Kummel, Diggy Simmons, Angela Simmons, Vanessa Simmons, Taraji P. Henson, Estelle and the Black Eyed Peas, Will.I.Am.

Jenner was dolled up in heavy makeup, shocking blue eyeshadow and dressed in hot pants to model the line.

A number of parent groups have expressed concern that young teens are being increasingly sexualized in the name of commercialism.

But half-sister Khloe Kardashian was quick to praise her sibling.

“I know I say it all the time, but I swear, she gets more and more professional with every shoot she does,” half-sister Khloe Kardashian blogged.

Teen fashion models have been a part of the business going back to Twiggy in the 1960s, maybe even before that.

In fact, many top models, today, from Alessandra Ambrosio to Laura Stone got their start in their mid-teens.

The Kardashians catch a lot of heat for their crass commercialism and their lack of discernible talent, but it’s a stretch to take Kendal to task in an age of Miley Cyrus and Taylor Momsen, who is barely a year older.
