Thylane Blondeau is one of the hottest new models in French fashionThylane Blondeau is one of the hottest new models in French fashion. She’s 10 years old. Meanwhile, a French lingerie company has come out with a sexy line of underwear for girls four to 12-years-old. What ever happened to age appropriate?

Blondeau is said to have a face reminiscent of legendary French sex kitten Brigitte Bardot and a gap-tooth smile that mirrors top model Natalia Vodianova, who is all of 19.

She’s already appeared in sexy, even topless photo shoots, including a recent spread in French fashion industry bible Vogue Paris.

She’s worn full make up, plunging gold lamé gowns and high heels among other adult-looking outfits.

But French label Jours Après Lunes has gone one step further with a line combining lingerie and lounge wear to form what it calls “loungerie,” for the pre-teen set.

It includes a range of panties, bras, camisoles and T-shirts with lace edges, ribboned bow detailing and nautical stripes, all of which tend to sexualize young girls who wear it.

In one outfit, a girl wears Jackie O-style sunglasses while lounging on a pillow, wearing panties and a cropped polka-dot tied top.

“What’s disturbing about Jours Après Lunes is… that it’s lingerie for people who probably shouldn’t be old enough to even know what lingerie is,” Fashion blogger Fashionista wrote.

In the United States, the fashion trend is sparking broader concern than in Europe, where Europeans, according to some observers, are less uptight about sexuality.

“It’s cute when a little girl dresses up in her mom’s clothing and jewelry and high heels,” Marilisa Racco, author of “Le Snob Lingeries” told The New York Daily News.

“These pictures are not cute. It’s entirely inappropriate to put a 4-year-old in a bouffant like she’s Brigitte Bardot in [the movie] ‘And God Created Woman,'” she said.

A woman, Sophie Morin, a longtime lingerie designer, created the line and said she intentionally drew on adult clothing as in inspiration.

Meanwhile, Blondeau’s shoot for the Tom Ford-edited January edition of French Vogue featured heavy make-up, sexualized poses and lipsticked pouting lips.

It caused such an uproar it forced the young model’s TV-personality mother to close her fan site on Facebook.
