Rosie Huntington Whiteley did more than her part providing eye-candy for the latest Transformers movie, but good thing she didn’t quit her day job–for more reasons than one.

Huntington-Whiteley has shed a visible amount of weight and returned to modeling, gracing this month’s Harper’s Bazaar, with yet another stunning photo spread.

But she reveals that her budding movie career has hit a roadblock since her performance in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”

“It’s interesting coming from modeling, where women rule the industry, into one where there are so few great female parts and the competition is so much higher,” she told the magazine.

She didn’t get much help from the critics.

Rolling Stone’s Peter Travers said she and co-star Shia LaBeouf “couldn’t be duller” dispite the fact that they were starring in an action movie.

Rosie also had to endure the inevitable comparison with Megan Fox, whom she replaced in the series, after Director Michael Bay had a falling out with the “Jennifer’s Body” star.

Fox is not known for her overwhelming acting talents, but “looks like Meryl Streep in comparison,” wrote Lou Lumenick, critic for The New York Post.

Still, Rosie commands top dollar as a fashion model, and she’s used to adversity in her career.

“I was a bit of an Ugly Betty when I was 15,” she tells the magazine.

But things obviously turned around for her. She routinely makes lists of the sexiest women in the world and ranks No. 15 on the biggest earning models list at
