Barbara Palvin is one of those Eastern European beauties who have made the end of the Cold War a blessing in more ways than one. Discovered when she was just 13, she’s risen to become a top model in Europe and graces the new issue of Vogue Spain in a seductive shoot.

Palvin, now 18, was discovered on the streets of Budapest in 2006 and moved to Asia where she did mainly editorial work. She was first photographed for Spur magazine in Japan at 13.

She debuted on the runway in an exclusive appearance for Prada during Milan Fashion Week in February 2010. Suddenly the industry was buzzing.

“Barbara… is absolutely exquisite looking a cross between a young Brooke Shields and Natalia Vodianova,” said British Vogue editor Miranda Almond, after the Prada show. “She was an absolute professional, too, and very confident for such a new model.”

Although shorter than the average runway model at 5’9″ tall, she’s also walked for Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Nina Ricci, Emanuel Ungaro, Christopher Kane, Julien MacDonald, Jeremy Scott, Vivienne Westwood and Etro,

She opened a show for Chanel and also took part in Victoria’s Secret Pink campaign.

In Vogue Spain, Palvin is seductive, showing off Hunter & Gatti’s accessories in the February issue. She wears ivory lingerie styled by Sara Fernandez, with colorful handbags, sparkling gems and sheer masks. Hair stylist Paco Garrigues’s lush curls and makeup artist Frank Garret’s smokey eyes perfect the white-hot looks, according to FashionGoneRogue.
