Monaco Royal Charlotte Casiraghi Debuts for Gucci (photos!)

Monaco royal Charlotte Casiraghi, the late Grace Kelly’s granddaughter, debuted in her first photo shoot for Gucci. The princess had her fashion coming out party last year in French Vogue.

The Italian fashion house plays off Casiraghi’s stunning looks and her upscale passion for horses.
Photographer Peter Lindbergh shot the campaign at stable iced with a light winter snow.

French Vogue’s scored a major coup when it landed Casiraghi, the daughter of Princess Caroline, for its special September fashion issue. All of the new fall campaigns are featured, and editors go out of their way to make their covers memorable.

In the Gucci shoot, the fetching 25-year-old beauty leans on a bale of hay her hair loose and flowing to her shoulders. She wears a red riding jacket, high-necked black shirt and johdpurs.

Casiraghi is also featured in a behind-the-scenes video, posing with a horse as well.

“Over the last two years I have had the pleasure and privilege to get to know Charlotte through our shared passion for horses,” says Gucci fashion Director Frida Giannini.

“She not only embodies the beauty and the grace of the equestrian, but is also a wonderful ambassador for the sport.”

She is fourth in line to Monaco’s throne and bears a striking resemblance to her mother and film icon grandmother, two of the most beautiful women in the world.

When she was 4, her father, Italian mogul Stefano Casiraghi, was killed in a boating accident. Perhaps, it’s made her more serious than her jet-setting mother and aunt Princess Stephanie were at her age.

She is already accomplished. She has competed in equestrian show jumping competitions, works as Editor-at-large for Above magazine and was co-founder of Ever Manifesto, a magazine the melds fashion and environmentalism.
