Kate Upton is Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot and Jayne Mansfield rolled into one as she ushers in summer in yet another magazine. This time Vogue is having its way with her.

She appears in the July issue of Vogue Spain in a sultry swimsuit spread by photgrapher Miguel Reveriego.

This time she keeps her top on and poses in one-piece suits more evocative of an era when Monroe, Bardot and Mansfield lit up Hollywood with their mouth-watering voluptuousness. A film career can’t be far behind for the 20-year-old Upton.

She oozes Monroe-like innocence and sensuality. The camera doesn’t love her, it adores her. She already has a couple of big screen credits to her name.

Vogue isn’t through with her yet. The U.S. edition is featuring the model as well, which means the doyen of fashion Anna Wintour has embraced everything that Kate represents in a world still dominated by fashion industry tastes that demand size-zero models.

Indeed, Wintour has pledged to join the campaign by fashion editors around the globe to promote healthy models with proportional body weight, and Upton may be her first statement that she means what she says.

The upcoming issue of U.S. Vogue includes a lengthy profile of the model and actually dresses her up in Altuzarra fur, a maxi-skirt and Givenchy knee-high boots, according to New York magazine.

Although Upton, at 5-feet, 10-inches tall, is the perfect height to walk fashion runways in New York, London, Paris and Milan, it remains to be seen whether any designer will cut a sample-size dress to fit her.

In fact, Victoria’s Secret’s head stylist, Sophia Neophitou, has already vowed that Upton will never walk in a Victoria’s Secret fashion show because she is “too fat.”

But Neophitou may yet eat her words now that Anna has embraced her. Because, what Anna wants from the fashion industry, she usually gets. In the meantime, check out her photos and say hello to summer.
