Milla Jovovich Turns Politics Into Deliciously Decadent Art (photos)

Milla Jovovich continues to move gracefully between rock-em action films and avant garde fashion, with a high concept photo shoot for Vogue Italia. The resident evil star tackles a surrealistic political campaign.

The timing couldn’t be better as the presidential election heats up in the Unites States and Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti tries to contain a debt crisis that’s threatening to engulf his home country’s economy.

After all, politics these days is more like theater of the absurd.

Milla Jovovich Bitching, Witching in Vogue Italia

Jovovich captures the spirit for photographer Peter Lindbergh and conceptual artist Jenny Holzer. Mila, 36, wears Armani Prive, Jean Paul Gaultier, Giambattista Valli and Dior in a series of Holzer’s “Truisms.”

The truisms, such as “Lack of Charisma Can be Fatal,” “Abuse of Power Comes as No Surprise,” and “Money Creates Taste,” set the stage for Jovovich’s erotic and decidedly decadent poses.

Few people move as effortlessly between film and fashion as Jovovich. Her latest film, “Resident Evil: Retribution,” the fifth in the “Resident Evil” series opens Friday (Sept. 14). The science fiction thriller, written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, has made Jovovich a cult heroine.

So far, the series has grossed nearly $700 million worldwide and spawned a popular video game. Check out Milla’s hot photos, and a trailer from the movie below. Also, follow TheImproper on Twitter here for more film and fashion updates.
