Milla Jovovich is best known as the kick-ass femme fatale of the Resident Evil movie series, but she got her start in fashion. She returns to her roots for another season with Italy’s Marella. She models its Fall 2012 outerwear in a new campaign.

The statuesque actress, who is five-feet, nine-inches tall, has become a cult hero for her role as Alice in the Paul W. S. Anderson films.

The latest, “Resident Evil: Retribution,” the fifth in the series, hit theaters last month. It’s grossed more than $176.6 million worldwide since it hit theaters three weeks ago, against a $65 million production budget.

Milla Jovovich Pounces in Marella Prints

No wonder there have been five films, all featuring the action star. The most recent film gave every indication that there would be a sixth “Resident Evil” sequel with Jovovich in the lead role and husband Anderson at the helm.

Milla Jovovich, 36, previously repped for the Marella’s spring/summer line.

She returns to pose for photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, as a sexy, insouciant fashionista, wearing the brand’s wild animal prints and leather.

She would look right at home on the Italian Riviera or roaring down the Via Milano in her Alfa Romeo Spyder.

In real life Jovovich keeps to herself, preferring to spend time with husband Paul and daughter Ever. “I feel like movie stars don’t have many friends at all. They have acquaintances,” she says.

“I really only have a few friends. My regular life today is reading books, making dolls houses, sewing dolls with my daughter and barbecuing.”
