Dutch model Doutzen Kroes says she was a tomboy growing up, but there is no denying her sexuality even when she wears funky androgynous fashions from the likes of Ralph Lauren and Jill Sander.
The willowy 5’10” tall model is spending less time on the catwalk these days because of her curvy figure.
She gave birth to a son, Phyllon Joy Gorré, in January a year ago with husband Sunnery James. She wasted no time getting back in model shape for Victoria’s Secret.
Doutzen Kroes an Androgynous Beauty
Although she’s probably best known for her work with the lingerie brand, she’s been a Victoria’s Secret angel since 2008, Kroes is in high demand for editorial work and is one of the highest paid models in the fashion industry.
In her latest shoot for Vogue Paris, she photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in oversize jewelry, layers and funky hats that evoke an ’80s Boy George look.
She also suits up Kenzo, Falke and Jean Paul Gaultier for the black and white shoot on the beach in the south of France.
In November a year ago, she appeared in the Reinout Oerlemans film “Nova Zembla.” It’s the first Dutch 3D Movie ever made. The historical drama is about the last voyage of Dutch explorers Willem Barentsz and Jacob van Heemskerk.
Kroes has also been the face of Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger and Versace.
“I have to work really hard. My body, I have a voluptuous body. I am not one of those skinny girls,” she said of her 34-24-24 figure. Check out her photos. It’s unlikely she’ll get any complaints.
