Adriana Lima dress as a ringmaster, Doutzen Kroes wore a black body cage and oversized angel wings were everywhere on the runway during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York. Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber added some celebrity gloss as well.

Many of the models on the runway are superstars in their own right, including Erin Heatherton, Miranda Kerr and Candice Swanepoel.

The fashion show, the lingerie brand’s signature annual holiday event, will be broadcast in a one-hour special on CBS Dec. 4.

Top Models Don Wings for Victoria’s Secret

Alessandra Ambrosio donned another signature feature of the show, a $2.5 million push-up bra, making her the new reigning queen of the show. She replaces Kerr, who wore the super bra in last year’s show, replacing Heidi Klum, who retired from the VS runway.

This year’s show included donations from Victoria’s Secret and CBS to the victims of Hurricane Sandy, which slammed the Eastern Seaboard. ravaging much of the Jersey shore, lower New York City and New England.

The models were all in top shape. Even Ambrosio, 31, who had a baby in May with partner Jamie Mazur, was back to bikini shape. “It’s highly televised, and you take that into consideration,” said model Joan Smalls.

“This is kind of not the same as other runways. You have to prepare your body: No. 1 is the wings are heavy, and No. 2 is you have to be comfortable with your body because the camera will pick up on it if you’re not comfortable and confident.”

The show was filmed in six segments: Circus, complete with acrobats, contortionists and a sword eater, Dangerous Liaisons, Pink Is Us, Silver Screen Angels, Angels in Bloom, and Calendar Girls.

Flamboyant “angel wings” were back in force. Toni Garrn wore giant poppy wings while Kerr sported feathered flappers. Lily Aldridge waved the flag with star-spangled wings and Ambrosio sported wings adorned with orchid petals.
