naomi-campbellSuper model Naomi Campbell took a swing at a cameraman and stormed out of a television interview, after she was asked about her relationship with African warlord Charles Taylor and whether he’d ever given her a blood diamond.

The term refers to diamonds that were mined or stolen during the bloody conflict in Sierra Leone to fund a civil war that took thousands of lives and life countless others maimed.

Leonardo DiCaprio starred in a 2006 movie titled “Blood Diamond” that called attention to the bloody civil war in that strife-torn African nation.

Taylor has been accused of giving Campbell, 39, an enormous “blood” diamond as a gift. The diamond could serve as evidence against Taylor who is on trial for war crimes.

But prosecutors told ABC that Campbell has refused to be interviewed about the allegations.

In response to a question about the gift, Campbell scolded: “I didn’t receive a blood diamond and I’m not going to speak about that.”

She then stormed out.

Oddly, actress Mia Farrow revealed Campbell’s connection to the deposed dictator. She told prosecutors that she heard the model describe a “huge diamond” she had received from him.

“You don’t forget when a girlfriend tells you she was given a huge diamond in the middle of the night,” Farrow told ABC.

The women and Taylor stayed at the home of South African president Nelson Mandela at the same time.

“She said during the night, some men had knocked at her door and she, half asleep, had opened the door and it was representatives of President Charles Taylor and that they had given her a huge diamond,” Farrow recalled. “We were like, ‘oh my gosh.'”

Taylor has repeatedly denied he was in possession of the diamonds or that he had sent one to Campbell.
