jennifer-lopez-harpers-frontJennifer Lopez looks like a warrior princess in classically styled fashions that recall ancient Greek goddesses dancing on a golden urn. The upcoming Harper’s Bazaar photo spread showcases designs by Paco Rabanne, Roberto Cavalli, Balmain, Versace and Tom Ford.

The setting, Istanbul’s Ciragan Palace hotel, added to the overall sense of Mediterranean-influenced styling.

But Lopez, 43, made clear in an interview that she is anything but a princess. “I’m a singer. I’m a dancer. I’m a performer. I’m an actress,” she says in the magazine’s February issue. In short, she works hard for the money, and it shows in her jet-set lifetsyle.

Jennifer Lopez a Goddess in Gold, Metallics

Lopez poses for photographer Katjia Rawles on the Ciragan’s marble steps. The shoot follows on the heels of her “Dance Again” world tour.

To keep it real, she traveled with her three-year-old twins Max and Emme. Her boyfriend Casper Smart, 25, doubles as her chief choreographer.

“I make it as simple and as beautiful as I can because my life is kind of big. So I pack my luggage, or dress myself, or comb my kids’ hair, pick up their clothes; that makes our life beautiful, you know? There’s something very elegant in that,” she says.

Lopez also works hard for the body. She exercises up to two hours a day and doesn’t drink or smoke. She also limits salt and sugar intake, eats in moderation, and tries to get eight hours of sleep every night.

“When I turned 40, I was like, huh. I accept myself more now,” says Jennifer, who says her mental age is between 16 and 18 years old. “That’s when I became the person that I am. I still feel all that youthfulness.”
