Olivia Munn is the thinking man’s sex symbol. Plus she has a great sense of humor. How sexy is that?
The 32-year-old comedian and actress is beyond hot in the June/July issue. She has a worldliness about her, most likely from her frequent travels as an Air Force brat.
A good deal of her youth was spent in Japan. She moved back to native Oklahoma for her junior and senior year in high school, where she found that she didn’t quite fit in. “All the kids were cliqued up. I would end up eating with the old librarians,” she tells the magazine.
Somehow that’s hard to believe. Her unique beauty stems from the fact that her mother was of Chinese descent and her father was German and Irish. Her mom divorced and married an Air Force career man and they lived a bit of a vagabond’s life.

“In my life, I moved around a lot… you’re constantly the new kid, because you’re a military family,” she explained.
“Oklahoma, Utah, Japan, different parts of Japan — and humor and being self-deprecating and sarcastic was the thing that could break ice in every situation. And so it’s a very antiquated idea to think that you can’t be pretty and smart and funny.”
She’s right about that. Nothing is sexier than a girl with a strong sense of humor.
She’s appeared in a wide variety of publications, including lad magazine Maxim, for which she drew some heat. Critics wondered how she could be on a show like Comedy Central’s brainy “The Daily Show,” and find it in herself to pose for frat boys. But she doesn’t see it that way.
“So I did the cover of Maxim again. Because, you know what? Don’t you want for your own daughters to grow up and be smart and funny and beautiful and embrace their sexuality?” she says.
