Emma Watson dazzled in Chanel for the premiere of her new movie ‘The Bling Ring.’

Emma Watson was suitably blinged out, going with a youthful, sexy, yet sophisticated look, for the premiere of her movie “The Bling Ring” in Los Angeles. Her hair was in the spotlight; it’s grown out enough so she could wear a french braid.

Watson, 23, wore a tweed dress from Chanel’s Fall 2013 collection. Since her Harry Potter days came to an end, Emma has become much more fashion conscious.

She didn’t go over the top in the black and grey dress, which revealed very little bare skin. At the “This Is The End” screening in Hollywood Monday night (June 3), she struggled to keep her strapless Roland Mouret outfit from revealing too much cleavage.

But last night, she didn’t hold back on the accessories. She wore black and silver Giuseppe Zanotti heels, a black Swarovski crystal “Kiosque” clutch and Graziela earrings.

Emma Watson Leads the Bling Ring

The red carpet was laid out in front of the Directors Guild Of America and drew celebrities such as Paris Hilton, a real-life Bling Ring victim, Los Angeles rocker Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale, actress Chloe Sevigny, Claire Julien and Israel Broussard.

Director Sofia Coppola also posed with cast members Taissa Farmiga and Katie Chang.

The movie is a crime caper involving a teen-age gang of burglars in the celebrity obsessed suburbs of Los Angeles. They go on a robbery spree, hitting houses of well known celebrities, as much for the loot as for the chance to role play as celebrities themselves.

They walked off with millions of dollars in designer dresses, expensive watches and other bling, but their clumsiness as burglars led to their arrests and downfall.

Watson plays Nicki, a self-absorbed, aspiring model and actress who treats her crime spree, arrest and conviction like it’s a reality television show. She hopes to “lead a huge charity organization” once she gets out of jail, she pronounces.

The film screened at the Cannes Film Festival to generally positive reviews. Watson noted in an interview that she was drawn to the role because of the character’s amorality, but also acknowledged that she’s also part of the world of high-end fashion and celebrity culture.
