Ashton Kutcher goes another round as Steve Jobs from the computer pioneer’s upcoming biopic “Jobs.” Beside showing Kutcher shirtless, the 16-second teaser clip is more notable because it debuted on Instagram instead of YouTube. Technology marches on!

Kutcher plays the mercurial entrepreneur from his college days staring in 1971 up through the rebirth of his company Apple Inc. in 2000.

Jobs and his partner, Steve Wozniak, played by Josh Gad, co-founded the personal computer company and took on industry leader IBM for supremacy of the desktop.

IBM won thanks to Microsoft, but Jobs’ computers became known for their superior graphics and were the first choice of artists, designers and journalists.

Jobs was pushed out of Apple following a board of director’s insurrection in 1985. He founded and for a time ran NeXT, a computer development company that specialized in the educational market. Jobs returned to the company in 1996 as it teetered on the edge of bankruptcy.

He served first as an advisor and later as Chief Executive. He turned the company around in two years and went on to revolutionize everything from the music industry to held-held telephones. But that’s outside the scope of the movie.

The film screened at the Sundance Film Festival and has received limited reviews, which are trending slightly negative. It’s got a 43 percent rating on rottentomatoes based on just seven reviews. But 87 percent of moviegoers surveyed want to see the film.

Wozniak told ABC news he was unhappy with the film. “The clip I saw was just so far from anything that really happened or [was] said in those days,” he said. “As far as the personalites… this was just ridiculous.”

He also said that Jobs would have been “embarrassed” and “offended” by it as well.
